Google Personalized SearchGoogle has come up with some new changes in their search engine where they have tried to personalize the search engine results which may take the web-surfing to new levels.

The new Google Personalized Search Engine system is designed to help the viewers to find that they are looking for in easy and specialized way.The new system of Google basically works in this way, if someone is searching for some answer and clicks on a website that they often visit that has that answers, then that site will rank higher than others the next time they go to search for the same query. If you like the answers in wiki answers than some other website, Wikipedia will rank higher on the list because Google knows that you like that site more than other websites.

To take the advantage of Google’s new personalized search, you don’t need to keep signed-in to Google account nor you need a Google account. It is available in 40 languages worldwide. The Google personalized search also works with less specific keyword terms. If you type in a general term like “new phones” and frequently check for the relates websites from search engine, then the websites that you usually prefer to visit, will rank higher than other websites for “new phones”. In this way, google will help you to get the information you would normally like to check out first.

So what if you are looking for some more general search? If the new general search doesn’t impress you, you can simply turn off the customization setting that is found under “view customizations” on Google. Google only keep the customized search information records for 180 days and it is completely different from a users Google account and web history.

Google’s new personalized search tool makes users feel more comfortable in their search and makes it more easier for them to get that they are looking for. It’s giving the internet more of a personal touch, making it simple for those who are new to the web and more helpful for regular web surfers.

Directory SubmissionsYou may have heard that Google is not going to give any importance to directory submissions. This started a lot of discussions in SEO professionals and website owners that having links in directories does not count any worth. They thought that it will give a negative effect on their SEO results and rankings. In this article I will try to explain why Google removed the recommendation.

So lets begin with talking on some points where directories affect your ranking. Directories are allowing you to submit your site so the visitors can find a good resource to their requirement. The listing is having a link of your website and this is the reason that can affect your ranking. Directories helps in increasing the link counts and therefore increases the strength of your website, theoretically.

So Google has stopped giving any importance to the directory links then it will surely affect the website rankings. So what is the good reason behind removing this recommendation from webmasters guidelines? People thought that Google were to create their own directory which will not be based on DMOZ but this was just a  rumor. Getting back to the question, has Google stopped counting Directory Links? MATT CUTTS, Google spokesperson and the one whom I follow from couple of last years and the regular reader of his Blog, answered my question. Matt says that there is always a chance that Google may devaluate these links but the good reason behind that was they were observing that lots of beginners were submitting their website to n number of poor quality directories.

I think you are pretty safe right now but you should keep building links in different ways and make a good quality website. Google will devaluate these type of links which are from low quality directories so if you just submit the directories to quality directories to keep yourself safe in future.

Human Reviewers for Google RankingsAs we all know that there are billion of websites on the net today and lots of website owners don’t know how exactly does Google and other search engines work. This article will light up the role of human reviewers played in Google search results and how they can affect your website rankings.

Very less people know that Google use human reviewers, as like DMOZ. A lot of people think that most of the work is done by computer algorithm but humans are playing pretty important role. Google has assigned thousands of people who randomly check the search results on every day basis. If any of the site that appears in the top 10 results and if it is looking like a spam then the reviewers report that sites to Google and they are finally removed from search results.

This one more good reason for not using spam tactics and Black Hat SEO for getting on top position. You should know thing well, that human reviewers or your competitors can report the sites that use spam tactics to Google. This will end up with getting your site removed from Google and all the work and efforts will be incomplete. Using spam tactics and Black Hat SEO can help you to reach at the top in search engines but the problem with this is you cant stay there for a long time if you are found.

Some of the tactics that you should look to avoid are:

Keyword cramming -  adding the keyword into the page but in unbalanced way. In comparison with the rest of the content.

Hidden text – this involves adding text to your site that is in the same color as the background so that the search engines can see it but your users can’t.

Link Farms – these are systems where lots of websites join and all link to each other for generating links.

Doorway pages – these are pages that show one thing to the search engines but redirect the user to another page with different content.

There are a lot of other tactics that you should avoid and the above are just some examples. If you get something and it looks pretty simple and easy then you should think over it carefully before implementing. If you are banned, then you will need to start again with everything.

There is only one way to get on the top in search results is to follow ethical SEO techniques. For this, you need to work on unique and relevant content and a good number of quality backlinks for website.

I would like to mention one more thing is that the human reviewers are having other important roles as well. It include looking at the search results and also the quality of sites. As per reviewers recommendations Google adapt the computer algorithm. This clearly means that what you need to get the top of the results will keep on changing on regular basis and you will need to be aware of changes happening around.

Keep on working with ethical SEO techniques, as it will give you a chance to stick on the top in search results, once you reach there. It’s because the human reviewers will likely see your site and if they find it useful and relevant to the search results, they will recommend your site to Google. Just Make sure you stay on top of Google’s recommendations and ensure your site conforms to ethical practices and you should obtain those elusive top 10 rankings.

Google SEOIn Google SEO (search engine optimization), you, the webmaster, fight with Googlebot, Google’s listing spider. Only this battle has no weapons. In its place it is your content verses the army of Googlebot’s other sites to rank.

To be successful in this battle there are things that the webmaster should do, and things that the webmaster should not do, should he set a possibility in winning the battle and claiming a position on the top 20 results of Google.

There are a lot of things a webmaster should do to take the edge of Googlebot. First and most important, create the website. Let it be a bit unique, or better than the rest. Add pages on top of pages of content. You can put articles, information, anything. With one exemption. It should be related to your website. After you have about 10 pages worth of content, get a number of links to your site. Submit to directories, loads of them. Try to submit to directories without a reciprocal link requirement. Besides use word-of-mouth advertising to get a view visitor. Once you have some links, some visitors, and loads of content, hit your view visitors with a boom. Offer rewards for who possibly will refer the most members, or who may possibly submit the most articles, or everything that will help to promote your site. Also keep in mind to squeeze in possible keywords in your content, and DO NOT forget meta tags, they are the key to SEO.

You might have taken a note, I never talked about or suggested when you should submit your site to Google, that’s the thing you should not do. If google picks up your site before you submit it, you get a way better rank.

Now you have come up with a very excellent SEO website. Now you have to take care of not to blow it. Whatever you do, DON’T:

• Do not link exchanges with the sites that are non-relevant to topic, this will hurt you.
• Do not cheat. Cheating is stuffing of “invisible” keywords on your site. (white text on white background) Googlebot picks it up, and boom, an end to the rank on Google.
• If you hit upon the need to submit your site, do it, ONCE. If you submit twice then, say goodbye to your rank.

That’s all and best of luck with the SEO. With this, excellent keywords, and least competition, you will get inside the top 20 of Google.

SEO Tips for GoogleThe current buzz for some of last years has been Search Engine Marketing. Everybody wishes to make out what it is and how to do it. Much in the same way that web design was the thing to learn in the late 90’s. Currently, almost all web design agencies suggest this service, and have been offering this service to their clients. There are Internet Marketing experts all over the world, but is this somewhat that Google sees as unnatural and unethical – as it is a transparent exploitation of Google search results? This depends on the application.

If you are a spammer and your one and only aim is to add duplicate content, door way pages, and other black hat content, then this will be seen by Google as bad, for the reason that it does not benefit the user at all and just adds to the growing list of thousands of pages that are irrelevant and have no worth. But if you are adding relevant and original content on a regular basis, this can be pretty useful, especially if you are writing for the user in mind, as it holds a positive value and will carry additional chance of being picked and displayed in the search engine results pages.

Google just cares about presenting the users with the results that they are in search of, the more relevant the result, the better. Google have prepared several algorithms whose only job is to shake-up relevant content and show it in the index of websites held in datacenters all over the world.

In addition, if the content that has been created engages the user in some kind of way then this can also make you extra brownies points as it makes your site sticky and get users visiting more regularly and for longer. Google wants websites to have some type of function and not just sit there becoming stale and obsolete. If this rule can be followed, there is very little possibility of Google ever having any problems with so called “SEO’s” and they can continue to add value to the increasing number of websites that are online and being accessed as we speak.

search engine logos main How Do Search Engines Work?Basically there are two types of search engines. The first one is robots which are called crawlers or spiders. Search Engines is making use of spiders to index websites. As soon as you submit your website pages to a search engine by implementing their necessary submission page, the search engine spider will index your entire site. A ‘spider’ is an automated program specifically run by the search engine system. Spider visits a web site, read the content on the actual site, the site’s Meta tags and also follow the links that the site connects. The spider then returns all that information back to a central depository, where the data is indexed. It will visit each link you have on your website and index those sites too. Some spiders will simply index a specific number of pages on your site, so don’t create a site with 500 pages!

The spider will frequently come back to the sites to test out for any information that has changed. The rate of recurrence with which this happens is determined by the moderators of the search engine.

A spider is nearly like a book where it contains the table of contents, the actual content and the links and references for all the websites it finds during its search, and it may possibly index up to a million pages a day.

Example:  Google, Excite, Lycos and AltaVista

How Do Search Engines Work? Web Crawlers

At the time when you ask a search engine to find information, it is essentially searching throughout the index which it has created and not truly searching the Web. Different search engines produce different rankings for the reason that not every search engine uses the same algorithm to search through the index.

One of the things that a search engine algorithm scans for is the occurrence and position of keywords on a web page, but it can moreover identify artificial keyword stuffing or spamdexing. Then the algorithms analyze the way that pages link to other pages in the Web. By glance how pages link to each other, an engine can both verify what a page is about, if the keywords of the linked pages are related to the keywords on the original page.

Few Important Things That You Must Do When Rankings DroppedEveryone who depends on search engines for traffic – which is all of us – is a common confusion. It is our fear for our rankings. It is simply logical that this is so common. After all, these rankings are often our business. At least up to now as the supply of these perspectives, we so desperately need.

It is safe to say that every one of us have woken up to see our rankings drop from page 1 to a status that can not be compared to be built-in the resettlement program of centralized witnesses. We can not be found. And that’s bad news.

This is what we should do when this happens. It’s possible that you may not be able to resolve the problem quickly, but you’ll at least be in a much recovered position to address and deal with him.

1. Do Not Panic.
This is very important to keep in mind. Take it seriously, but do not lose it. There are lots of reasons why the classification could slide down. He arrived in one of the well-known Google algorithm shake-up. It may be a momentary move that will restore your rank in a short time. The key here is to keep away from the urge to do something that will only harm your site in the long term ranking and your business itself.

Loads of people skip work and make changes to their site. They struggle to bring it into line with what they think search engines want now. This can essentially harm their position in search engines for the reason that they modify the structure and layout of their pages. It confuses the robots of search engines and creates an impression of confusion, a lack of unity within the site. It’s bad for ratings. So keep in mind – do not panic. The temporary drop in May. If it is not, a bulldozer and impulsive Rebuilding employment is not the solution.

2. Think Back: What have you changed recently?
At times your ranking dropped because of somewhat you have done. Such as, I had rankings drop because I screw up the code I made a few redirects in my. Htaccess. Did you add new pages recently? Make sure the links in them and they are done in approved manner. If you enter the destination URL that you’re wrong power of search engines a group of 404 error pages. They are not like that.

There are lots of things that might cause the ratings to slide. Keep in mind that you should look at the changes you’ve made as a 2 weeks ago, just to be sure. Robots of search engines vary in how they come to your site, so in May they be reacting to a change that is old news for you, but new to them.

3. Keep Going
It is tempting to turn to the mysterious side of SEO, Turn into a Black Hat when you notice your rankings drop. Specially when you see something of the site, or a not a outrank yours. We’ve all been there.

But you know what is the exact option, although it’s hard to resist doing a slight camouflage. What you should do is to keep on building a solid site: add relevant, targeted content, work on the structure of your site so that all content can be found and indexed by search engines, from Working on the links to your site. A little boring? Yes, at times. But it is the most brilliant choice, mainly for those of us looking for to be in business for the long-standing.

Remember these 3 steps for the next time if you see the rankings go down. It’s okay to be frustrated. It’s okay to be confused. It is even good to be a bit angry. Let it out, constructive, and after that get back to work. This is the surest technique.
